100Bio
Launching the World’s First 100% Biodegradable Foam Food Containers.
In 2016, foam packaging — polystyrene, Styrofoam, and their look-alikes — was still the default in food service: inexpensive, lightweight, and deeply harmful to the environment. 100Bio set out to disrupt that paradigm with a plant-based, compostable material designed to match the performance of foam while reducing carbon footprint, removing toxic chemicals, and supporting regenerative waste systems.
Key Contributions
Played a pivotal role in solidifying 100Bio’s reputation as an early leader in compostable packaging by unifying brand narrative, visual identity, and product performance into a coherent market position.
How I Got It Done
Strategy
Executive Communications
Partnered closely with the founder/CEO, turning early ideas and technical goals into clear narratives and actionable design. Built trust that enabled fast alignment, sharper decisions, and a brand strategy grounded in long-term vision.
Brand Identity
3D & Animation
Used Cinema4D to create hyper-realistic 3D animations that explained material performance and compostability better than static visuals. These assets elevated credibility and became core tools for sales, investors, and client education.
3D Prototyping
Traditional Tools
Created prototypes by hand, using calipers and compasses for precise measurements, sketched structures, and built physical mockups. This hands-on process enabled rapid iteration, accurate communication with engineers, and designs grounded in real-world performance.
