EightBit
The future is nostalgia
Originally named 8-Bit Buds, this emerging cannabis brand had a growing customer base but lacked a cohesive identity that could compete in the fast-evolving cannabis CPG space. The brand name posed trademark limitations and the visual design was dated, limiting scalability across new product lines and retail markets.
As Marketing & Design Director, I led the complete transformation and strategical launch of the rebrand. This included renaming the company to EightBit and securing the trademark, designing a new logo and packaging system, and lead the dev team to launch two e-commerce sites. Two other major contributions are designing the company mascot and prototyping a new vaporizer device from concept to production.




Key Contributions
The launch of EightBit’s new product line—driven by strategic brand positioning and standout design—resulted in over 500,000 units sold, marking a major revenue milestone. From packaging to campaign assets, every visual was engineered to perform at shelf and in culture.
I led the full rebrand from 8-Bit Buds to EightBit, including name ideation, visual identity, and federal trademark registration—securing the brand’s future while elevating its perception across retail and digital touchpoints.
Created the brand and packaging design to be inspired by early ’80s arcade nostalgia, transforming EightBit into a lifestyle-forward CPG brand. These assets became the visual foundation across our cannabis, hemp, and apparel categories.
To humanize the brand and deepen emotional engagement, I created Bud, EightBit’s official mascot. Bud became more than a character—he became a cultural touchpoint that fans recognized across products, merch, and digital content.
I helped prototype and launch a new line of vaporizers into three retail markets, aligning packaging with varying compliance needs. Simultaneously, I redesigned the new EightBit’s websites, launching a clean UI for lifestyle, hemp, and cannabis verticals—all housed under one cohesive digital roof.
