Case Study

[Rebrand, Logo Design, Packaging, Web Dev, Event Design]

Just Her, Constant Circles

From Brighton’s underground to international stages, Just Her has become a major force in electronic music.

In the mid-2010s, UK artist Just Her (Claire Spooner) launched her solo career alongside the founding of Constant Circles Records — an imprint focused on deep, melodic, and emotionally driven electronic music. As the label built its identity, it needed a cohesive, elevated visual language that would align with its sonic aesthetic: thoughtful, minimal, and immersive. My role was to translate that mood into a living visual system for the artist and the label.

As Art Director from 2014 to 2017, I led the visual rebrand of Just Her, designed the logo and identity system for Constant Circles, and created original artwork for music releases, digital platforms, and vinyl pressings. My approach combined analog and digital skills — painting, drawing, graphic design, and motion graphics — to create layered, emotional visuals that echoed the music’s depth.

Key Contributions

Led remote creative direction for an international artist, successfully managing workflows across time zones and delivering consistently high-quality assets without disruption or delay.

Designed three distinct brand logos for Claire Spooner and Constant Circles, each reflecting a new creative phase while maintaining visual continuity across her platforms.

Collaborated closely with the artist to establish the look and feel of her websites, ensuring the visual identity aligned with her evolving sound, values, and growing global presence.

Created unique, hand-crafted artwork for each music release, blending fine art techniques and digital media to give every project its own emotional and visual identity.

How I Got It Done

Strategy

Logo & Branding

I used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to craft compelling logos for both Just Her and Constant Circles Records. My approach blended clean typography with bold, minimal iconography — resulting in visual identities that captured the atmospheric tone of the music and stood out across digital platforms, merchandise, and press features. These designs laid the visual foundation for an emerging artist on her rise to global recognition.

Brand Identity

Marketing Collateral

As Art Director, I developed a wide range of social media and promotional assets to support record releases and live events spanning the U.S., Europe, and the UK. From teaser visuals and release announcements to event flyers and motion graphics, I ensured every asset aligned with the label’s aesthetic—building brand continuity across markets while celebrating the distinct energy of each release.

3D Prototyping

Cover Art

In addition to digital design, I brought a fine art sensibility to the label’s cover art — often incorporating hand-drawn illustrations, watercolor textures, and painted elements into the final compositions. These works were digitized, composited, and prepared for release across platforms like Beatport, Spotify, and SoundCloud, giving the label a distinctive visual identity rooted in human expression and tactile creativity.
